Story of Miss Gajamati Majhi
Gajamati Majhi Late D/o Subash Ch. Majhi, aged 28 years, dwells in Antarla of Titilagarh block of Balangir district. She has one elder sister and three elder brothers .Gajamati is youngest girl of the family and she is an orthopedically disabled with 60 percentage. She has completed upper primary at Antarla village. Her father passed away when she was at the age of 15years, after that her mother’s look after the family. Her brothers migrated to Chhatisgarh for labour work. Only three persons lived in the village i.e. Gajamati, her sister and Old mother.
According to the Individual micro enterprise plan for PwD, SCD provided financial support Rs. 15.000.00 (Fifteen Thousand) to start a petty business in her village. Gajamati is running the business well; she is now able to earn Rs.100.00 Rupees a day and repaid the instalments without any difficulty. Gajamati and her family members thankful to the staff of SCD.
