He got operated upon his right eye on 07.11.2018 and on the next day of surgery his post-operative vision in his left eye was 6/18. After seven days in the first follow up his vision was improved to 6/12.

Life after Intervention by SCD

Alekha was very much happy when his vision restored. Now he is doing independently his day to day activities such as helping his family in income generation activities and participated in social and cultural activities etc. in the community. He gave thanks to our hospital staff.

Lesson Learned

People are unable to access the base hospital i.e. Govt or Private for many reasons such as poor transport facilities, poor financial condition, lack of knowledge and poor mobility of their own etc. Therefore, there is a need of outreach camp where we can reach to the unreached people and provide services to the needy people at their doorstep.
