The Organisation’s goal is twofold firstly the preventive and curative treatment of blindness and vision impairment in western part of Odisha and secondly, raising awareness of the issues in the community. In order to make good eye care available and accessible for all in the project, SCD works with local authorities and passes its knowledge and experience on to specialists, health care workers and support staff who play a role in the eye care network. In this way we contribute to the realization of Vision 2020. A global campaign that aims to make eye care accessible to everyone by the year 2020.

Some key Highlights

In collaboration with SSA, Balangir, BAL JYOTI School Screening Camp were organised at schools of Titilagarh Block.1365 students were screened.
In Titilagarh, SCD associate with the DBCS, Balangir celebrated World Sight Day, inaugurated by D.P.M. & senior eye specialist DHH, Balangir.
